Neil Diamond has given his wife $150 million in a record-setting showbiz divorce settlement.

And, the singer/songwriter says, he has no regrets because she's worth every penny.

"I'm happy to do it," said the 55-year-old Diamond.

"She's the mother of my youngest children. She's been with me through thick and thin.

"She deserves half my fortune.

"I wish her all the happiness $150 million can bring," Diamond said.

The payout to Marcia, his wife of 25 years, eclipses the $105 million given

The singer, who has sold more than 100 million records, and Marcia split briefly in the early 1970s.

And in 1991 she threw Diamond out of the house after he was accused of having an affair with a rodeo cowgirl, Jodie Janockowski, 37.

The couple got back together.

But in 1994 Marcia filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences.

The couple have two sons.

A source says, "Neil's main concern was to keep all the royalties from future sales.

"She not only gets the cash, but also the houses in Beverly Hills and Aspen, Colorado."
