The Bright Side, album No. 3 in the Winnipeg bass-and-drums rockers' canon, essentially mirrors the maturation of singer-bassist Rod Slaughter and drummer Sean Allum since they first burst on the music scene with their 1996 debut, Smash the Ships and Raise the Beams and the '98 follow-up The Cons and the Pros.
