PARK CITY, Utah -- Round up the unusual suspects.
There they were, a mind-boggling and truly bizarre cast led by Bob Dylan and Penelope Cruz, assembled police line-up style against a wall in a sushi restaurant not far from Sundance headquarters.
The occasion was a photo shoot for media -- just pictures, no interviews -- prior to the premiere of the film, Masked and Anonymous.
Jessica Lange, John Goodman, Luke Wilson, Mickey Rourke, Val Kilmer,
Bruce Dern, Christian Slater and Laura Elenda Harring joined Dylan and Cruz in flanking director Larry Charles, a former Seinfeld writer.
Although Cruz was expected, Dylan was not, and it wasn't until moments before the celebrities arrived that it was learned the elusive icon, who starred in the film as well as wrote its music, would attend.
Most popular rumour du jour in Park City yesterday? Dylan was playing this club, or that club, this party or that party.
Later at the premiere, Dylan darted past television cameras and fans on his way into the theatre. Cruz, however, did find time to pause for fans.
And no, her boyfriend, Tom Cruise, was nowhere to be found.
