Bob Dylan and His Band are Calgary bound.

The music icon will play the 'Dome Oct. 27 as part of a North American fall tour announced yesterday. Tickets go on sale through Ticketmaster at 10 a.m. on Friday.

Dylan's new tour takes place amidst what many consider a career resurgence in recent years.

His 2006 album, Modern Times, debuted at No. 1 on Billboard and earned him Grammys for best contemporary folk/Americana album and best solo rock vocal performance.

In recent years he has also focused on being a published author, releasing Volume One of his best-selling memoirs, Chronicles.

Most recently, Dylan published two poems in this week's edition of the New Yorker.
