It appears The Eagles will be winging their way to Calgary.
The '70s country rock supergroup is set to embark on a brief small-market summer tour -- the current itinerary includes a Calgary date on June 9 and June 10 in Edmonton. An official announcement is expected Tuesday.
This would be the second time through Calgary for The Eagles, which now features Joe Walsh, Don Henley, Glenn Frey and Timothy B. Schmit, since they reformed in 1994 for the Hell Freezes Over album and tour.
In March 1995, as part of that tour, the band played two shows at the 'Dome. Since then, the four current members have continued with their individual solo careers, getting together to perform sporadically.
The Eagles are also reportedly working on a new album, which is tentatively scheduled for a fall release. It is expected they will then embark on a larger tour.
Since forming in 1971, the influential group, which is known for such seminal classic rock songs as Hotel California, Heartache Tonight and Take It to the Limit, has sold over 80 million albums worldwide.
