The Eagles putting the wraps on their first new studio album since 1979's "The Long Run," Billboard reports.
Guitarist Joe Walsh told the magazine: "We're just finishing vocals and mixing it. We're all finally signing off on it."
Walsh also noted to Billboard that he and all the other Eagles members - Glenn Frey, Don Henley and Timothy B Schmit - have written songs for the album which "go in some really, really new, different directions."
"It's hard to compare to anything that I hear out there now," Walsh said of the disc.
The Eagles are also planning a tour, which will kick off sometime in 2008.
