Eminem will play Grammys
By JANE STEVENSON
Controversial rapper Eminem will perform at the Feb. 21 ceremony in L.A., despite his four nominations drawing the ire of gay rights and women's groups because of his record's homophobic and misogynistic lyrics. Eminem, whose four Grammy nods are for album and rap album of the year for The Marshall Mathers LP, best rap solo performance for The Real Slim Shady and best rap performance by a duo for Forgot About Dre with Dr. Dre, is just the latest Grammy performer to be announced. Previously confirmed were performances by Christina Aguilera, Destiny's Child, Faith Hill, Madonna, NSYNC, Nnenna Freelon, Brad Paisley, Dolly Parton, Take 6 and U2. The show will be broadcast live from the Staples Centre on Global, ONtv and CBS from 8-11 p.m. |
