Rapper accuses Eminem of trying to kill him
By JAM! Music

Detroit rapper Esham has accused Eminem of orchestrating a recent brawl on the Vans Warped Tour that was meant to be an attempt on Esham's life.

The brawl, which occurred during the Camden, New Jersey, date of the tour, happened backstage, when 40 people -- including members of Eminem's side project D12 -- attacked Esham and fellow rapper TNT.

Britain's New Musical Express says Esham suffered a broken nose, a concussion, and damage to his eye and hearing.

Eminem was home in Detroit and was not accompanying D12 at the time. But Esham told Billboard he believes the superstar (whose real name is Marshall Mathers) ordered the fracas as an attempt on his life.

"Mathers gave the word. He didn't even show up for the tour. That's how premeditated this was. This was a straight-up attempted murder on my life. I could have been dead," he told Billboard, although he did not indicate a motive for the alleged attack.

Both Esham and D12 were booted off the tour following the brawl.

"An incident occurred backstage at the Warped Tour, spurred by D12's concern for the safety of their guests," the band said in a statement.

"Both D12 and the other party involved have been asked to leave the tour. Eminem was home in Detroit and not on tour with D12 when the incident took place."
