Eminem albums back in top 10
By JOHN WILLIAMS
Canadians got a double dose of Eminem on the album charts this week.

Huge first week DVD sales of his film "8 Mile" helped push both the soundtrack and his own album back into an otherwise stagnant top 10.

The "8 Mile" (5,600) soundtrack surged from No. 21 to the eighth spot, and "The Eminem Show" (5,300) climbed from No. 17 to the ninth position, according to data compiled by Nielsen SoundScan Canada.

The "Chicago" soundtrack also made a top 10 jump, climbing from No. 13 to seventh with 5,660 in sales. The soundtrack may climb even higher next week due in part to the film's six Oscar wins.

The top six albums remained unchanged from last week -- Norah Jones's "Come Away With Me" (18,700) was at No. 1 for a fourth week, followed by 50 Cent's "Get Rich Or Die Tryin'" (14,500), Avril Lavigne's "Let Go" (9,300), Shania Twain's "Up!" (8,500), The Dixie Chicks' "Home" (7,600), and the "Grammy Nominees 2003" (6,900) compilation.

French artist Isabelle Boulay's "Au Moment D'Etre A Vous" slipped from seventh to 10th.

The highest debuts on the Canadian chart were Nana Mouskouri's "Gold: Greatest Hits" at No. 27, Clemence Desrocher's "De La Factrie Au Jardin" at No. 38, and Ani Defranco's Evolve at No. 49.

In the U.S., 50 Cent held the No. 1 position, followed by Norah Jones in second, and R. Kelly's "Chocolate Factory" in third. "Chicago" moved from sixth to fourth and Evanescence's "Fallen" rose from ninth to fifth.
