Eminem beats out DMB for No. 1

Senior Editor, JAM! Showbiz

Eminem stays at No. 1 for a 3rd week.

Eminem fought off a nice debut from the Dave Matthews Band to retain the No. 1 crown on the Canadian album charts this week.

The Detroit rapper's effort, "Relapse," remained on top for a third consecutive week, selling 23,000 copies, according to figures compiled by Nielsen SoundScan.

Well behind was DMB's "Big Whiskey & the Groogrux King," which had the top entry at No. 2, racking up 12,000 in sales.

The debut forced Green Day's "21st Century Breakdown" and Ginette Reno's "Fais-Moi De La Tendresse" both down one position to No. 3 and No. 4.

The "Hannah Montana" soundtrack remained at No. 5, Kings of Leon's "Only by the Night" came up one notch to No. 6, and Rancid's "Let the Dominoes Fall" premiered at No. 7.

The rest of the top 10 was rounded out by Lady Gaga's "The Fame" at No. 8, Chickenfoot's self-titled debut at No. 9, and Nickelback's "Dark Horse" at No. 10.

In the U.S., DMB came in first, followed by Eminem in second, 311's "Uplifter in third, Green Day in fourth, and the "Hannah Montana" soundtrack in fifth.
