Bad Meets Evil

Detroit rap super duo Bad Meets Evil - the collaborative effort of former foes Eminem and Royce da 5'9" -- had a red hot first week on the Canadian album charts.

Their nine-song debut EP "Hell: The Sequel," powered by the hit single "Fast Lane," shot straight to No. 1, selling 21,000, according to Neilsen SoundScan numbers.

Eminem is no stranger to the top position in Canada - his 2010 album, "Recovery," and 2009 effort, "Relapse", both came in at No. 1 with combined sales of 149,000.

Bad Meets Evil, in which Em’s alter ego Slim Shady takes centre stage, also snapped up the top spot south of the border, selling 171,000 copies of "Hell" in the U.S., according to Billboard.com.

Back here, Adele's "21" continued to sell, and sell well - it racked up another 17,000 copies this week, staying at No. 2, and has now sold an astonishing 326,000 since being released 17 weeks ago.

The compilation "Mixmania 2" (11,000) came up one notch in its second week, switching spots with Lady Gaga's "Born This Way, which slipped to No. 4.

11-year-old Jackie Evancho, who gained fame on "America's Got Talent", had her first effort "Dream With Me" debut at No. 5, City and Colour's "Little Hell," which came in on top last week, spiraled down six levels to No. 6, and Owl City's "All Things Bright and Beautiful" checked in at No. 7.

Closing out the top 10 was Rihanna's "Loud" at No. 8, Foo Fighters' "Wasting Light" at No. 9, and the "NOW! Dance 2" collection at No. 10.

In the U.S., Jackie Evancho placed second, followed by Adele in third, Lady Gaga in fourth, and Jason Aldean's "My Kinda Party" in fifth.
