Jane's Addiction singer Perry Farrell is being credited with helping rescue 2,300 women and children enslaved in Sudan.
The New York Post says Farrell joined the Swiss Christian Solidarity International organization during a recent trip. The singer led "emancipation dances" at sites in the Sudanese bush, singing to the accompaniment of a boom-box.
