Artist: Feist

Feist guests on 'Sesame Street'
By JANE STEVENSON - Sun Media

First puppets and now muppets.

Feist, who used the Calgary-based Old Trout Puppet Workshop troupe for the upcoming video for her latest single, Honey Honey, was in New York City yesterday taping an episode of the legendary children's TV show Sesame Street.

Apparently, she's featured singing a duet with Elmo with the song especially written for the two of them.

A spokesperson for Feist's Canadian label, Arts & Crafts, didn't immediately have the air date of the Sesame Street episode, but her appearance on the TV show tops what has been an incredible year for the Calgary-raised, Toronto-based singer who's up for five Junos this weekend in Calgary, including best album for The Reminder and best single for 1234.

She was nominated for four Grammys earlier this year, has appeared in Vanity Fair, sang on Saturday Night Live, won the Shortlist Music Prize, and the video for 1234 was used in an Ipod nano commercial.

Feist is scheduled to arrive in Calgary today where she will be rehearsing for her performance on Sunday night's Juno show, which will be broadcast live from Pengrowth Saddledome on CTV.
