Red hot singer/songwriter Nelly Furtado is about to add actress to her resume.

The Victoria-born Furtado, 22, has just taped an appearance on the sci-fi teen drama Roswell.

The Juno Award-winning singer will perform her hit single I'm Like A Bird on the second-year series when it airs Tuesday, May 8 at 8 p.m. on CITY.

The L.A.-based production stars another Canadian, Brendan Fehr, as one of three teenagers who are the descendants of aliens who crashed into the New Mexico desert in 1947.
