Furtado has album, baby coming
By JAM! Music
Rolling Stone reports the twenty-four-year-old singer-songwriter and her boyfriend are expecting their first child in September. Despite the new bundle of joy on the way, Furtado told Rolling Stone that baby songs will not be the bulk of the second CD, titled "Fresh Off The Boat." "Two or three years from now, you'll hear the baby record," Furtado said. "I take a while to reflect on things." Furtado has been working on "Fresh Off The Boat," the title referencing her Portuguese heritage, in Los Angeles and Toronto. Track And Field, the Toronto-based producers (real names, Gerald Eaton and Brian West) who co-produced her acclaimed 2000 debut, "Whoa, Nelly!" are at the controls once again. Guests helping Furtado out on the album include Incubus guitarist MIke Einziger and drummer Joey Waronker (R.E.M., Beck). There is no word on release date. |
