The gulf between the audience for hip-hop music and Canadian labels' willingness to invest in homegrown talent is far too large, according to Toronto's Ghetto Concept.
While U.S. rappers sell mountains of albums here, and have demonstrated a huge appetite for the music among Canadians, labels here haven't always followed through and shown enough support for domestic rappers, the duo -- Kwajo Cinqo and Dolo -- told JAM! Music.
