Whisky-voiced, blues-rock guitarist David Gogo, the former "whiz kid" who
dazzled Stevie Ray Vaughan at age 15 and EMI Music Canada at 21, will
begin work on his first independent studio album next week with Barney
Bentall and Colin Nairne (who co-produced Murray McLauchlan's latest,
Gulliver's Taxi).
"We're not going to be antiseptic about it," says Gogo. "The main
thing with us is we set up and play. Colin's a great engineer and Barney
can give us a good sober second opinion. He's got a melodic sense. If we
bring a song in, he can really help in terms of editing."
