Artist: The Grateful Dead


Dead members resurrect name
In what will certainly be a controversial move among Deadheads, the surviving members of the Grateful Dead, who have been calling themselves the Other Ones since Jerry Garcia's death in 1995, have decided to resurrect part of their old handle as their official new name.

Phil Lesh, Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann and Bob Weir will now be known as "the Dead," again, Rolling Stone reports.

12-CD Grateful Dead box coming this fall
The Grateful Dead may be dead, but the archival releases keep on coming -- with a monster 12-disc set drawn from their Warner Bros. years out this fall.

"The Golden Road: 1965-1973" is due Oct. 16 from Rhino Records and will feature digitally remastered versions of all the albums the band released during that period, plus rare and unreleased material.
