Green Day will bring the 21st Century to life in Canada this summer.
The Bay Area pop-punk trio — whose hotly anticipated eighth album 21st Century Breakdown arrives in stores May 15 — have just announced a string of North American tour dates, including seven Canadian shows.
Singer-guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong, drummer Tre Cool and bassist Mike Dirnt will cross Canada from west to east in July, beginning in Vancouver and ending in Montreal (see below for the full list of shows). Venues, ticket prices and onsale dates haven't been revelealed yet.
21st Century Breakdown — a three-act concept album about young lovers in a post-
Dubya world — is the long-awaited followup to the band's career-rejuvenating 2004 album American Idiot. The single Know Your Enemy was released online last week.
