Emm Gryner has a cool big buddy these days -- Bono.
In the November issue of Q magazine, the U2 frontman was asked which songs of the last 20 years he wishes he had written. Gryner's Almighty Love, from her new CD The Summer of High Hopes (Dead Daisy), made Bono's list along with such songs as Brownsville Girl (Bob Dylan and Sam Shepard) and Live Forever (Oasis).
Gryner grew up in Forest, Ont. The Canadian indie rocker and Juno-nominated singer-songwriter now lives in the St. Marys area. This month, Gryner plays some dates in Ireland before a gig at Toronto's Mod Club on Nov. 16.
