Being called a "hair band" is an insult in most cases. With the Harlots, it's merely a description of their day jobs.
Playing tomorrow at the Sidetrack Cafe, three of the four band members are brothers who are professional hairdressers based in Winnipeg. Three of the four members (not the same ones) are formerly of the Ballroom Zombies, the former backup band of the fabulously flamboyant Robin Black.
