Toronto's Headstrong made its U.S. debut in front of a live audience, during CMJ Music Marathon in New York, Oct. 12, at Don Hills.
"There were a lot of agents there and there were a lot of people from the record company, RCA," reports David Bendeth, senior vice-president of A&R in New York, who signed the rap-rock band after it appeared on the now defunct television show "Farmclub". He was turned onto the band through its U.S. manager, Andy Martin, who works with SR-71 and Bruce Hornsby, both on RCA.
