A HiLoTron is a Gretsch guitar pickup favoured by old-school rockabilly musicians. But a Hilotron (note the carefully altered spelling) is a member of an Ottawa band known not so much for guitars as keyboards, and whose sound recalls the ’80s more than the ’50s.
