Ice Cube's 'Friday' to return for part 3
By JAM! Movies
The Hollywood Reporter says New Line Cinema is pushing forward with a third instalment of the urban comedy franchise, with an eye to releasing the project for Thanksgiving 2002. Ice Cube wrote the new screenplay, dubbed "Friday After Next," and he'll once again star, alongside Mike Epps, Don Curry, and John Witherspoon. The production is currently in talks with directors, the report said. While the last instalment, "Next Friday," saw Ice Cube's character, Craig Jones, moving to the suburbs with his lottery-winning cousin, the new film will see the pair down on their luck, working as security guards at a shopping mall on Christmas eve. Meanwhile, The Hollywood Reporter said Cube is set to begin shooting "Big Ticket" in March opposite gonzo MTV personality Johnny Knoxville. He'll next be seen in "All About The Benjamins" and the sci-fi action film "Ghosts Of Mars." |
