Hip-hop star Eve will make her acting debut opposite rapper-turned-actor Ice Cube in the upcoming comedy "Barbershop."
The Hollywood Reporter said the film is to be directed by newcomer Tim Story, and will also co-star comedians Cedric The Entertainer and Anthony Anderson. The movie takes place during a single day at a Chicago barber shop.
Cube plays the shop owner, while Eve plays his sassy employee Terri. Cedric plays 70-year-old barber Eddie; Anderson plays a thief.
"Save The Last Dance" star Sean Patrick Thomas is also in talks to take on a role in the project, The Hollywood Reporter said.
