It has taken Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi more than 30 years to put out a "solo" disc, and the metal icon has managed to wrangle some of the biggest names in the music business to help him.
"I had a list of three people who I wanted to work with on this record from the beginning," says Iommi of his new, self-titled album. "Billy Corgan (Smashing Pumpkins), Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters) and Phil Anselmo (Pantera). I just liked what they did and wanted to work with three different singers like them.
