Mick Jagger to release new solo album
By JAM! Music

Amid rumours that The Rolling Stones will hit the road again in 2002, Mick Jagger has signed a new recording deal with the band's label, Virgin Music, and will release a new album this fall.

The as-yet-untitled release will be Jagger's fourth as a solo artist and his first since 1993's "Wandering Spirit". It will hit the stores in November.

"We could not be more thrilled that Mick has chosen Virgin as the home for his solo career", Nancy Berry, vice chairman, Virgin Music Group Worldwide, gushed in a press release.

"He is a legend whose timelessness is only furthered by his creativity, focus and drive. We look forward to this partnership with Mick with the goal of making this new album his greatest solo success yet."

Jagger's other solo releases, which have all met with mixed critical and commercial reaction, include 1985's "She's The Boss" and 1987's "Primitive Cool".

Meanwhile, rumours continue to fly about a possible 40th anniversary Rolling Stones tour next year, but there has been no official indication that it will actually happen.
