Rolling Stones fans will get some satisfaction at this year’s Grammys.
Mick Jagger will perform on the music awards broadcast for the first
time, organizers have announced.
Backed by Raphael Saadiq and his band, Jagger will pay tribute to late
soul singer Sololmon Burke during the program’s In Memoriam tribute.
Jagger’s previous (and only) Grammy appearance came in 1986, when he
appeared via satellite from London as the Stones were presented with a
lifetime achievement award.
The Grammys will be handed out Feb. 13 in Los Angeles. Other
performers at the 53rd annual event include Arcade Fire, Eminem, Lady
Antebellum, Lady Gaga, Miranda Lambert, Muse, Katy Perry, Justin
Bieber and Usher with Jaden Smith, B.o.B. with Bruno Mars and Janelle
Monae, Drake and Rihanna, and Cee Lo Green with Gwyneth Paltrow and
the Jim Henson Company Puppets.
