British pop-rock outfit The Kooks' sophomore effort, Konk, was named after Kinks frontman Ray Davies' North London recording studios where they recorded most of it last year.

The Kooks' bassist, Max Rafferty, clearly has good taste in British crime dramas. Why else would he suggest naming a song on their critically acclaimed 2006 debut, Inside In, Inside Out after one of the characters from Sexy Beast.
