Diana Krall's "Quiet Nights" moves from No. 8 to No. 2.

Canadian chanteuse Diana Krall made a loud charge on the Canadian album charts this week.

Her latest effort, "Quiet Nights," moved up six positions to land at No. 2 with 11,000 in sales, according to figures compiled by Nielsen SoundScan.

The album has now racked up 84,000 since its release six weeks ago.

Ahead of Krall was Ginette Reno's "Fais-Moi De La Tendresse," which moved from No. 2 to No. 1 with sales of just under 30,000.

Last week's top dog, Jean Leloup's "Mille Excuses Milady" (8,000), dropped down to No. 3, while Paul Potts' "Passione" came up from No. 10 to No. 4.

The "Hannah Montana" soundtrack held on to the No. 5 slot, Eric Lapointe's "Ailleurs Volume 1" sank from No. 3 to No. 6, and Bob Dylan's "Together Through Life" slipped four notches to No. 7.

Rounding out the top 10 was Annie Villeneuve's self-titled effort at No. 8, Kings of Leon's "Only by the Night" at No. 9, and Jason Mraz's "We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things" at No. 10.

In the U.S., Chrisette Michele's "Epiphany" debuted in first, followed by the "Hannah Montana" in second, Ciara's "Fantasy Ride" in third, Rascal Flatts' "Unstoppable" in fourth, and Bob Dylan in fifth.
