The band that seemed to want it the most has won the chance to open for Motley Crue Sunday in the Shaw Conference Centre.
The Las Vegas Crypt Keepers prevailed against six other worthy local rock groups in a marathon battle of the bands held Wednesday night at the Thunderdome. The Edmonton Sun's Kick Start Your Career contest featured everything from glam to alternative to punk to retro - but it all rocked. By the unanimous vote of five judges, the Crypt Keepers won the warm-up gig and $500 cash from Molson, plus a chance to be included on a compilation CD produced by Motley Records.
