Canadian pop-punk princess Avril Lavigne continued her reign atop the Canadian album charts this week.
Lavigne accomplished the feat for a second consecutive week despite seeing sales of her sophomore disc drop by more than half. Sales of "Under My Skin" reached 30,300, down from the 63,100 copies it sold in its debut last week, according to Nielsen SoundScan Canada.
Lavigne also saw a sales dip in the U.S., where her album fell from No. 1 to No. 2 with sales 170,000, down from 381,000 last week, according to figures from Billboard.com.
Elsewhere in the Canadian top 10, Diana Krall's "The Girl in the Other Room" rebounded from last week, rising up one position to second with sales of 8,200, and Usher's "Confessions" climbed two spots to No. 3.
Slipknot's "Volume 3: (The Subliminal Verses)" claimed fourth after debuting at No. 2 last week, D12's "D12 World" dropped one notch to fifth, and George Michael's "Patience" sank two to sixth.
Guns N' Roses' "Greatest Hits" re-entered the top 10 at No. 7, the Black Eyed Peas' "Elephunk" remained at No. 8, Evanescence's "Fallen" occupied the No. 9 spot, and Method Man's "Tical O: The Prequel" held steady at No. 10.
The only debut of the week went to The Corrs' "Borrowed Heaven", which checked in at No. 21.
In the U.S., Usher reclaimed the No. 1 spot, followed by Gretchen Wilson's "Here for the Party" in third, Prince's "Musicology" in fourth, and Slipknot in fifth.
