Avril reclaims No. 1 spot
By

Avril Lavigne helped make the Beastie Boys stay atop of the Canadian album charts a short one.

Lavigne's "Under My Skin" returned to the No. 1 spot this week on sales of 15,000, unseating the Beasties Boys' "To The Five Boroughs" (11,100), which fell down to No. 2 after debuting on top last week, according to Nielsen SoundScan Canada.

Celine Dion's new live set "A New Day: Live in Las Vegas" (8,700) claimed third after debuting at No. 2 last week, Usher's "Confessions" climbed three positions to fourth, and Velvet Revolver's "Contraband" held steady in fifth.

The Black Eyed Peas' "Elephunk" rose up from No. 9 to No. 6, Diana Krall's "The Girl in the Other Room" fell one to No. 7, and Guns N' Roses' "Greatest Hits" stayed at No. 8.

D12's "D12 World" moved up one notch to No. 9, and Evanescence's "Fallen" re-entered the top 10 at No. 10.

Notable debuts this week include Keshia Chante's "Keshia Chante" at No. 12, Jadakiss's "Kiss of Death" at No. 15, Wilco's "A Ghost is Born" at No. 20 and the "Spider-Man 2" soundtrack at No. 23.

In the U.S., rapper Jadakiss entered in at No. 1 with "Kiss of Death," followed by Usher in second, the Beastie Boys in third, JoJo's "JoJo" in fourth, and Prince's "Musicology" in fifth.
