Avril mounts 'Best Damn' tour

The 'Best Damn' tour is coming to Canada.

Canadian rocker, Avril Lavigne, announced details of ‘The Best Damn Tour’ this afternoon at the Whiskey-A-Go-Go in L.A. She is touring in support of her latest album, titled The Best Damn Thing.

Canadian shows for the Napanee, Ont. native include the tour kick-off on March 5 in Victoria at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre, Vancouver (March 7, GM Place), Kamloops (March 8, Interior Savings Centre), Kelowna (March 9, Prospera Place), Prince George (March 11, CN Centre), Edmonton (March 12, Rexall Place), Calgary (March 13, Pengrowth Saddledome), Regina (March 15, Brandt Centre), Saskatoon (March 16, Credit Union Centre), Winnipeg (March 18, MTS Centre), Ottawa (April 3, Scotiabank Place), Toronto (April 7, Air Canada Centre) and London, Ont. (April 9, John Labatt Centre).

The tour so far goes until May 9 in Spokane, Wash., but more shows are expected to be announced.

Tickets for all shows go on sale Nov. 17 at LiveNation.com or ticketmaster.com. Local on-sale information and ticket prices are expected to be announced next week.

Fans can also go to avrillavigne.com and click the fan-club icon to register for special access to presale tickets.

Lavigne’s The Best Damn Thing CD, released in April, has sold more than 4.5 million copies worldwide. Her three albums have sold 30 million copies.
