EDMONTON -- Scott Leithead describes the legend of the mythic Kokopelli as "a humpbacked native flute player who mediates peace among four Southwest native tribes through his music."
Leithead's same-named community youth choir similarly sees itself as "embodying a feeling for our community that allows young people to grow through music," the conductor said on the phone.
