Metallica, Limp Bizkit and Linkin Park will tour together on the Summer Sanitarium tour, scheduled to kick off on July 4. The rock acts will all play headlining length sets, while Mudvayne and The Deftones are committed as show openers.
All three bands will deliver new studio albums before hitting the road. Metallica will be touring behind the June release, " St. Anger," their first studio album since 1997's "Re-Load," Limp Bizkit are hitting the road to support "Lessismore," expected in May, and Linkin Park will be promoting "Meteora," out March 25.
No dates have been confirmed yet, but the event is scheduled to make stops in Toronto and Montreal, and tickets for most cities will go on sale February 22.
