The Magnetic Fields, the critically acclaimed indie band led by singer-songwriter Stephin Merritt, has inked a deal with the eclectic label Nonesuch, Billboard reports.
Merritt records under a variety of aliases but hasn't produced anything under the Magnetic Fields tag since 1999's three-disc set "69 Love Songs," which was issued via the indie label Merge.
