OTTAWA -- Bruce Murphy got tired of letting his day job as a popstar get in the way of his real dream of becoming a dentist.
The former Men Without Hats keyboard player knows pop culture images are hard to break. Just imagine David Bowie as a vet, Mick Jagger working at Grabba Jabba or Bruce Springsteen ushering at the Corel Centre. The glamour and glory of popstardom is not easily forgotten. Men Without Hats, after all, was one of the more popular dance bands of the 1980s.
