I got so tired of typing the name "My Huge Ass" in the club listings every week that I had to find out who was responsible. This band works all the time, in town, too, so something must be going right. It turns out to be singer Dionne Danyk-Purcell, who's married to new Sidetrack Cafe owner Mike Purcell, and has been singing around town in various bands for years. My Huge Ass is an all-female (with token male drummer) band that covers artists like Weezer and Sarah McLachlan and also plays original songs like Try Too Hard, I Needed Love and George Bush is an A--hole.
