WAITING FOR THE SIREN'S CALL
Siren a pleasant listenBy ANDREW CARVER -- Ottawa Sun
New Order Waiting For the Siren's Call (Warner) One of the problems with being a band for 25 years is that you inevitably run into your musical offspring -- and the little bastards are more than happy to show you up. Such is the plight of New Order, whose dance floor post-pop-punk now echoes from the CDs of bands like The Killers, Franz Ferdinand and Scissor Sisters (whose Ana Matronic guests on Jet Stream). Waiting For the Siren's Call is a pleasant listen, but fans may wonder if they're listening to Republic again. Stacked up against the kids, it's hard not to conclude the torch has been passed. Track Listing:
1. Who's Joe?
