Artist: Notorious B.I.G.

A Biggie feast for conspiracy nuts
The Edmonton Sun attempted to contact filmmaker Nick Broomfield to talk about his recent documentary, Biggie and Tupac, but there were sinister complications.

Reached on his cellphone from London, England, Broomfield says he's "terribly sorry" he can't do the interview at this time, that he doesn't like to work past 7:30 p.m., and claims he is "just going to dinner." Strange voices and beeping horns are heard in the background. His voice betrays stress. He sounds out of breath. Is he on the run from recently paroled Death Row Records president Marion "Suge" Knight, whom the film paints as the mastermind behind the murders of Christopher Wallace, a.k.a. the Notorious B.I.G., and Tupac Shakur? Perhaps Courtney Love is still mad over Broomfield's film Kurt and Courtney, where it's suggested she actually put the hit on her own husband, and now Courtney is about to scratch his eyes out. Come to think of it, a shrill female voice can be heard in the background.
