Boy band O-Town's biggest hit song is Liquid Dreams, but it might as well have been Liquid Screams at the Centennial Concert Hall last night.

A wall of high-pitched sound washed over the sellout crowd of 2,303 mostly female fans as the Orlando, Fla., based quintet arrived on stage encased in individual white fabric tubes. Stepping out of their sheathing, the boys began singing All My Love, a choice that, judging by the decibel level of the screams, thrilled the fans to the very core.

That O-Town are as popular as they are is just another testament to the power of marketing -- And to the gullibility of teenage girls.

The only thing that sets the American five-piece apart from the army of other boy bands clogging the airwaves is that every off-key warble and emotional breakdown in the early stages of their career was documented on TV.
