Come to think of it, there was a twinkle in Noel Gallagher's eye when we saw him in the audience at The Soundtrack Of Our Lives' Horseshoe gig a couple of weeks back.
Gallagher had drafted the acclaimed Swedish band to open for Oasis on their current North American tour, which stopped at the Molson Amphitheatre Aug. 17 -- the same night TSOOL also played their already legendary 'Shoe performance.
It turns out Gallagher was so taken with his "new best friends" that, according to NME.com, he impulsively followed them to Britain's Reading Festival last week following a concert in Detroit. The Detroit show was TSOOL's last Oasis opening date until some West Coast shows in January.
Oasis actually postponed the second leg of their U.S. tour, originally slated in November, to facilitate TSOOL's schedule.
"I'm living my rock and roll dream from now on through them, man," Noel told the NME. "They're our new best friends in the whole world."
