There's one at every party - some guy who shows up in a three-piece suit when everyone else is wearing NOFX T-shirts. Rather than being ostracized, this person is accepted, even embraced as the life of the party despite his bewildering opinions on the greatness of Frank Sinatra.
That's how I feel when I see a ska band at a punk rock event. Like the last punk-o-rama thingy at Red's - four hardcore punk bands that tore the roof off and one ska band, the Planet Smashers, which gave the ears a break. Pretty good band - for a ska band.
