There are certain complaints that simply will not get any sympathy from decent people: "Our maid got deported," for instance. A current favourite is a rock musician complaining about A, how hard it is to be on the road, or B, the "parting of ways" with manager/record company/backing band.
We read about this sort of thing all the time. The basic reaction: "You're the one who wanted to be a musician. Just shut up and put all that pain into your songs. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm late for my night job at the pork fat rendering plant."
