PARIS HILTON

The Police to kick off Grammys

The Police will kick off their reunion in style with an opening performance at the 2007 Grammy Awards on Feb. 11.

The seminal '80s band join a live lineup that already includes Justin Timberlake, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Christina Aguilera, John Mayer, Beyonce, John Legend, Mary J. Blige, Gnarls Barkley, the Dixie Chicks, Corinne Bailey Rae and Carrie Underwood.

As JAM! reported last week, the Police are scheduled to rehearse at Lions Gate Studio in Vancouver prior to the Grammy performance.

They are expected to unveil a full-on summer tour schedule in the coming weeks.

The trio broke up 21 years ago and 2007 commemorates the 30-year anniversary of their first single, "Fall Out."
