It's refreshing to hear a new Edmonton original rock band that doesn't actually sound like it's from Edmonton. Por Nada ("For Nothing" in Spanish) sounds more like Radiohead than, oh, I don't know ... Nickelback.
What is an Edmonton original rock band supposed to sound like, anyway? It's arguable this city ever had a "sound," like Seattle. Regardless, the local scene seems to be changing toward a more progressive, experimental type of rock, according to Por Nada's drummer, Milap Petigara.
