We all have our musical touchstones. One of mine was going to see the Psychedelic Furs at the height of their success -- wait for it, kids -- at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver sometime in the early '80s.
Young women were literally throwing themselves on stage in the direction of charismatic, raspy-voiced singer Richard Butler while he crooned such hits as Love My Way, Heaven and Pretty In Pink.
