Lou Reed coming to T.O.
By JANE STEVENSON

New York rock poet Lou Reed touches down at the Hummingbird Centre on June 16, according to a tour intinerary released yesterday on Sonicnet.com.

Reed, who kicks off the road trip on June 2 in Seattle and ends it on June 23 in Boston, is touring in support of his latest album, Ecstasy, which was released April 4.

Reed's label says his opening act will be the exquisite Victoria Williams.

An on-sale date for the Hummingbird show is expected to be announced next week.

As recently rumoured, jazz-pop innovators Steely Dan will play the Molson Amphitheatre on June 27 in support of Two Against Nature -- their first studio album in 20 years.

Tix, $86, $66, $46 and $32, go on sale Monday at Ticketmaster or can be charged by phone to 870-8000. The same-day random-draw policy is in effect. There is a limit of eight tickets per person.

Steely Dan made their first concert appearance in T.O. at the Amphitheatre four years ago.

Tomorrow's on-sale date for the Red Hot Chili Peppers-Stone Temple Pilots' Aug. 16 show at the Molson Amphitheatre has been delayed while the Peppers confirm additional dates in Canada. Stay tuned for a new on-sale date.
