Crash Test Dummies keyboardist and backing vocalist Ellen Reid is
in Los Angeles working on songs for her debut solo album -- a project she
began five years ago.
"I've been doing it in stops and starts," says Reid, who joined the
unusual Winnipeg-based folk-pop band, fronted by the deep-voiced
Brad Roberts, in 1986.
